Fatty Boy Chicken Rice

I am sure all of us Penangites have heard of Fatty Loh Chicken Rice rite?? But have u heard of Fatty Boy Chicken Rice?? Huh?? What?? Got meh??

Yup...the coffee shop where Fatty Boy operates from is called Kafe 98 and it is located next to Tune Hotel at Burmah Road.

According to his regulars "Fatty Boy" used to work under Fatty Loh years ago as an apprentice and ventured out a few years later after mastering the skills of preparing good chicken rice.

I have been patronising this outlet quite regularly as my office is located within the vicinity and I personally think that his chicken rice is way much better than Fatty Loh.  Like normal chicken rice stall, he also sells roast pork, bbq pork, some roast duck and Belancan Fried Chicken. He has some side dishes too - Beancurd with Boiled Egg in Soya Sauce, the usual Vinegar Pork Leg and the evergreen "Chai Boey".

He is assisted by his wife (a petite thai lady) and his sister (they called her "Fatty Sis") and can be very busy during lunch time.  Besides the good chicken rice they served, their service is also flawless. Fast and efficient indeed...

Give it a go when you are at Burmah Road, I am sure you will agree with me...
